Brighton I first met Brighton at N.Central Shelter while volunteering. He is only six-pounds, but showed off by going after the Animal Control Officer's ankles as he entered the kennel. For me, it was love at first sight. He reminded me of my bubba, Toby, who also used to go after ankles when I first rescued him. Brighton also has Beople and Lyla vibes and I felt an instant connection. There is never a dull moment with our spirited Brighton... life is good!!	Owen & Lilly Owen and Lilly, both eight-years-old, found themselves in need of a new home when their family had to relocate and couldn't bring them with. Luckily, we had a open foster home and were able to rescue them. They were very scared at first, but slowly began to make progress with trusting new people. It took some time, but we found them their super-mom who is happy-as-can-be to call them her babies. They have more cat trees than you can count and an endless supply of love!	Cai We received a plea from our friends at San Gabriel Humane Society to see if we could help Cai. He had been adopted and returned three times over the last eight-months. It was no fault of his own, Cai just needed a specific home who could go at his pace. We found him just that and he is learning to trust more-and-more every day! He has a forever mum and brother, and his favorite pastime is playing with his ball. Oh-the-joy!
Duncan We helped re-home Duncan as part of our Buddy Pawcierge program. He was rescued from the streets by a kind person who got him set up with all the vet care he needed, but unfortunately didn't have the capacity to care for him longterm. We were able to find Duncan the perfect home with doting parents. He is a very sweet kitty and his family loves all his purring, cuddles, and cuteness!	Penny Lane We rescued Penny Lane after her family member reached out saying she was attacked by their big dog and her wounds had been festering for days as they didn't have funds for vet care. We immediately responded and said we would cover her vet expenses so she didn't have to stay in that condition. They later surrendered her so she could go into a home where she would receive more attention. After fully healing, she got just that - an amazing forever home! She is absolutely living her best life!	Luna Luna was abandoned at a pet shop with her housemate, Darby. We responded to the plea right away and brought them home. While Darby is cherry-pie-sweet, Luna has all the spice! There is never a dull moment in our home and we are forever grateful to be their parents! Luna uses her mesmerizing emerald eyes charm whomever she meets!
Darby Darby was abandoned at a pet shop at 17-yrs-old with his housemate, Luna. We received an email plea and had a place in our home for both of them. Darby is the sweetest, most affectionate cat buddy and brings endless amounts of love into our home. He also has the most amazing ocean eyes!!	Tilly Tilly was the second buddy we rescued from E.Valley Shelter who had diabetes. Not too long after getting her stabilized, she lost most of her vision which can happen with diabetes, especially when untreated. We are thrilled Tilly found her forever home with loving parents who have the biggest hearts for seniors with special needs!	Gnocchi Shortly after rescuing Gnocchi from W.Valley Shelter, we learned he would need hospice care because his kidneys and liver were shutting down. We are so grateful for our time together... we showed him love and kindness and he got to live out his life feeling cared for. He was a very special boy and now he is with all our other angels running free with full hearts!
Snoopy Every once in awhile it happens that a buddy has to be returned. Unfortunately, Snoopy's parents went through a divorce and after three years together, he was back at square one. While this is sad, there's always a positive way to look at things and Snoopy is in such a wonderful forever home now! He is the apple of their eye and their Number One, as it should be!!!	Liam They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one is no exception! Liam has eye sensitivities, so his forever parents got him these super cool glasses. He is absolutely cherished in his home with the most loving parents. Life couldn't be better!	Lola We went to Downey Shelter for one dog, and left with two! Lola had been adopted the prior day and was being returned as she was too rambunctious for the toddler in their home. Lola was absolutely terrified while waiting in line at the shelter and we knew immediately we couldn't let her go back there. She found her forever home shortly thereafter and is the happiest girl and oh-so-loved!
Bella Bella was another scared dog given 72-hrs notice at Downey Shelter. These dogs are deemed by the shelter as not adoptable to the general public due to their sensitivity with handling. Oftentimes they are just scared, but sometimes require more training. Bella's foster mum, also a trainer, fell in love with her and the rest is history!	Sawyer We were at Downey Shelter rescuing another dog when a member of the public came to drop Sawyer off, who said she had followed him home. I made the promise to her then that I would come back for her if she wasn't claimed after her holding period. Sawyer is now happy-as-can-be in her forever home. She is absolutely cherished!	Candy & Fidel We helped Candy and Fidel find the most amazing forever home as part of our Buddy Pawcierge program. It's not always the easiest placing two bonded doggies, but these kiddos were the sweetest... I mean just look at their faces! Now they spend most of their time at the beach!
Poppy Poppy was rescued from Downey Shelter. She had been given 72-hours before being pts. Luckily we had space, so we rushed to get her. Poppy was extremely frightened and scared of being touched, so we gave her the time she needed to settle in. Her health took a turn for the worse not too long after, but we are so happy we were able to show her the kindness and love she's always deserved in our short time together. We love you Poppy.	Sir Brownie We are overjoyed for our senior buddy Sir Brownie who has found his forever mommy! He is the sweetest boy and now he has his happily-ever-after!	Josie Josie (aka Paris) is settling in to her new home with the best parents ever who also adopted Katie from us in 2017. When we rescued Josie the shelter indicated she may have been hit by a car, but after x-rays with the vet, we learned she had been repeatedly kicked and likely was no stranger to abuse. She also has kidney and heart issues. It is people with very caring hearts who want to adopt seniors and aren't afraid of medical issues. Josie has immense love and adventure in her future!!
Sammy Sammy was rescued from E.Valley Shelter at 14-yrs-old. I'll never forget the day we brought him home because it was as if he had never left! We loved him from Day-1 and have loved him every day since! He has been such a blessing to our lives and we are forever grateful.	Finley Finley was rescued from E.Valley Shelter in rough shape and had obviously gone through a lot in his past life, but you would never know because he was such a sweetheart! Finley was doted on every day in his forever home. His health took a turn for the worse before he found his forever family, but he was already forever loved and we are happy about that!	Princess Leia East Valley Shelter called us after a potential adopter was a no-show for their adoption appointment for Princess Leia. She was on their medical list due to eye issues and partial blindness. PL is adorable with such a spunky personality... we knew she'd have no trouble attracting attention. It was a delightful surprise though when we took her to the groomer and the manager fell head-over-heels in LOVE. They had a very obvious connection and now PL has an amazing family and two brothers!!
PJ We rescued PJ from Downey Shelter where he was red-listed for euthanasia due to nipping. They warned us to be careful handling him and brought him out in a towel, but as soon as PJ realized he was leaving the shelter, he began giving big time kisses!! He is most certainly a love bug, but also needed a specific home due to his fear-reactive tendencies with other dogs. We are so happy PJ found forever parents who could look past any imperfections and see him for the diamond he is!!	Archer Archer was rescued from Downey Shelter where he was red-listed and scheduled for euthanasia due to nipping someone out of fear upon being brought to the shelter. We see this happen to so many dogs and it's incredibly sad they are unfairly labeled and pay the cost with their lives. We help when we can, and are so grateful we were able to rescue Archer. He is quite the charmer and has the best life now with is sis (new bff!) and forever family! We love you Archer!	Rosé Upon rescuing Rosé from East Valley Shelter, we could tell she was in a lot of pain. She was constantly squatting and had that look in her eyes that said she did not feel good. X-Rays revealed the cause of her pain to be from bladder stones and you wouldn't believe the size of the stones removed! Poor Rosé had to have been suffering for quite some time. We are so happy she is back to her chipper, talkative self and yapping away with her forever family and sis, Buddy Alum, Violet!
Audrey We rescued Audrey from Downey Shelter the same day we rescued Archer. She had a sweet yet quiet disposition and was incredibly happy doing little back wiggles in the car the day she left the shelter with us. Unbeknownst to her, we were on our way to her foster, now forever home, where she gets to hang out at the beach during the day, go on walks with her bis sis and Buddy Alum, Olive, and has two adoring parents! Only sunshine and rainbows for Audrey!!	Nala Nala is the absolute sweetest girl who has overcome more than her fair share of life hurdles. We rescued her after she was abandoned at our vet office with a broken jaw and a severed eye from a dog attack. It was a long road to recovery, but she finally healed and found a great home, only then for her pet parent's health to fail and be back to square one. We were overjoyed when Nala found the most amazing forever family... she is adored and cherished, exactly how it should be!	Gus Gus We rescued Gus from West Valley Shelter where he was red-listed and slated to be euthanized due to his behavior. At the end of the day, Gus is a sweet, yet misunderstood fella who most certainly deserves a chance at love. We are so happy we could give him that chance and help him find his forever mum who finds humor in his misfit ways!
Esty Esty was 15-yrs-old when she was rescued from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. She had a microchip but nobody came to claim her. I decided very quickly I was going to keep her and named her after my grandmother. She brought so much joy to our lives over the 3.5 years we had together - she was 18.5 yrs old when she passed over the rainbow bridge. Esty is a reminder of how special it is to adopt a super-senior!	Bobby Bobby was rescued from W.Valley Shelter and was part of a criminal confiscation case where they hold the animal until the case is resolved. It can be very sad because they've already been through so much and sometimes have to stay in the shelter a long time before being available for rescue or adoption, then often only given a short time before being pts. Bobby was in rough shape and had lost most of his hair, but is now living his best life, happy as can be!	Billie From the moment we saw Billie's picture at East Valley Shelter, we knew we needed to rescue this sweetheart. She was blind, neglected, and had a plethora of large cysts covering her small body. She had both good and bad days due to her skin condition, but overall, she had a good rest of her life with us. Billie was doted on, indulged upon (she was a big time foodie!), and very much loved... rest in peace our sweet angel, you live in our hearts forever.
Atticus We rescued Atticus from Downey Shelter where he was red-listed and slated for euthanasia due to nipping someone. When we went to get him, we thought we were rescuing a 7-year-old, but later learned he was much younger at about 1-year-old! He became fast furiends with his foster sis and his foster mum fell in love soon after... it must be fate! *Ohhh, and he has chicken and bird siblings too!!	Knightly Knightly came to us after being surrendered to a doggie day care. He had suffered much trauma and had many fear reactive triggers requiring he find a very specific home. We couldn't be more delighted that Knightly found the perfect forever mum who understood he had much confidence yet to build and was committed to helping him get to a place where he could thrive. He is doing amazingly well and gets to go on lots of adventures! Yayyyy Knightly!!	Howzer Howzer spent well over a month at W. Valley Shelter before we learned of his plight and were able to rescue him. He was seeing impaired, had a large mass needing removal, as well as teeth and ear issues. Despite his medical troubles, Howzer remained in good spirits and showed love in very subtly charming ways. He's a quiet guy who can be super goofy and it's these traits that warmed his foster turned forever parent's hearts! He lives the good life with our Buddy Alums Princess Coconut and Bowie!
Sailor Sailor was rescued from West Valley Shelter after being held for a criminal confiscation case. He had a broken leg, a heart condition, and was very neglected. Upon rescue, he was rushed to the vet for fluids and antibiotics because he was so sick... we were lucky to rescue him when we did! He has been such a blessing and has undoubtedly brought immense joy to his forever momma's life who is over-the-moon in love with him! Sailor is spoiled in the absolute best way... we are so happy for you!!	Lemon Ever since rescuing tiny Lemon from East Valley Shelter, she's sprinkled sunshine into our lives! She is incredibly dainty, intolerably picky, and prefers to be stuck to you like glue! In addition to her two adoring forever parents, Lemon also gained an almost identical sister (twinning!).	Lola Lola came in to our care after being abandoned at a grooming facility. She is a vivacious girl full of energy and spunk and we were absolutely delighted when she found a forever family who loved her zest for life, but were also committed to putting her smarts to good use through training!
Tigo Tigo came to us after being surrendered to his day care facility when his family left for the East Coast and never returned for him. He is quite literally the happiest, nicest, most easygoing buddy and we'll never understand how someone could let him go. His forever mum feels the same way and has showered him in love since the day he stepped into his new home. Tigo gets daily smooches and belly rubs, oh and has an endless supply of tennis balls to play with! Life is good!!	Bailey Bailey was rescued from S.LA shelter on July 5th, 2018. I'll never forget seeing him sit with his nose in the corner of his crate, starting into the metal walls. It was so sad and he looked like he had completely given up. He was in really bad shape and couldn't walk out of the shelter. I fell completely head-over-heels in love with Bailey. I called him my golden boy because he had the most gorgeous amber eyes and sunshine hair. We had one amazing year together and I am forever grateful.	Molly We rescued Molly from East Valley Shelter the same day we rescued Zeva. Molly was senior, in pretty bad shape, and definitely needed someone to give her a chance. We are grateful to have had the time we did with Molly... she had a large tumor in her mouth that needed removed as well as cysts covering her body. She was able to recover and live a full rest of her life in the warmth of a forever foster home. Molly was cherished until her last breath and will live on in our hearts always.
Humphrey We first met Humphrey when we were at South LA Shelter rescuing Bailey. We made a note and promised to come back for him if he wasn't claimed by a possible owner. Sure enough, he was still there after two weeks, so we kept our promise and the rest is history! Humphrey ended up needing emergency dental surgery, but felt so much better after healing up. It took a little while, but it was worth the wait because Humphrey found the most AMAZING forever family!! You deserve it Humphrey!!	Cleo We rescued Cleo from South LA Shelter after she was brought in as a stray. It's sad to imagine her wandering around on the streets by herself! We are so happy Cleo is alone no longer and has found her forever pack which includes Buddy Alum, Apple, and her forever pops! Her smile says it all... she's loving life!	Lucy We rescued Lucy from Downey Shelter along with two buddies she entered with, Ambien and Fiona - all were red-listed at the and slated for euthanasia due to a nipping incident. Upon rescue, Lucy was very sick with an URI, but we were able to nurse her back to health and get her all the medical care needed to be in tip top shape. We were over-the-moon happy when Buddy Alum Henry's mum fell smack-dab in love with Lucy and signed the deal on forever so they could all live happily ever after!!
Lucy Van Pup Lucy was rescued from North Central Shelter where she was brought after being hit by a car. She was in a world of pain, had a broken hip among other ailments, and was at risk of euthanasia due to her injuries and for not letting the staff touch her. She must have been really scared because Lucy is the absolute sweetest girl! She has fully recovered and is living her best life with Buddy Alum, Charlie, and her forever mum!	Violet We rescued Violet from South LA Shelter along with her surrendered furiend, Snoopy. We believe they were used for breeding and discarded once no longer of use. Violet was initially a ball of nervous energy and had many medical issues including being in the midst of a false pregnancy, having multiple masses, and a bulging eye. We gave her all the TLC as well as worked with her everyday so when she finally found her forever home, she was a confident girlie with nothing but love to give!	Bonkers We rescued Bonkers from San Gabriel Humane Society where he lived for one year!! Once we heard that, we couldn't let him stay there any longer. It's so sad how seniors are overlooked for no other reason than their age. Well, Bonkers has a lot of life left in him and has brought his forever mum oodles of JOY! He is simply cherished and lives like a king in his big grassy backyard. We love you so much Bonkers! xoxo
Lennon Lennon was rescued from South LA Shelter on the same day we rescued Violet. There was no way we could leave him there after seeing his picture with those scared eyes we couldn't forget! Lennon pretty much chose his own name due to his vocal nature, always talking and letting you know how he's feeling.. it's the cutest thing ever! After having major dental surgery, Lennon healed with the help of his foster turned forever mum, who pampered and doted on him... all his wishes came true!!	Sugar Sugar came to us after being passed around from person to person on the Next Door app. People had good intentions, but did not follow through with a commitment. When we took Sugar to the vet, we noticed a small cyst, which we later found out was malignant and would require her to have another surgery to remove the tissue. During this time, we met who would become Sugar's forever mum. She stuck by Sugar during her recovery and gave her all the TLC! Sugar is one happy pug!!	Ambien We rescued Ambien from Downey shelter along with two other pups she came in with, Lucy and Fiona. They were all red-listed and slated for euthanasia because one of them (they did not know which one) nipped the person's ankle (out of fear!) when they were trying to pick them up. How unfair is that!? Well, we were happy to rescue all three and elated when Ambien found her forever mum right away! Ambien is LOVING all the attention she gets as the only dog!!
Remy Remy was rescued from South LA Shelter and needed medical care for a full gambit of issues including a hernia, spay, dental, and skin issues. We could always count on Remy to let us know exactly how she was feeling and who could blame her, that's A LOT to endure! Lucky for Remy, her forever mum fell head over heals for her idiosyncrasies and vibrant spirit that one can only laugh at and is sure to keep you on your toes!	Snoopy From the day we rescued Snoopy from South LA Shelter, he has been all smiles and full of spunk! He was surrendered with his furiend Violet, who we also rescued and think were used together for breeding. It wasn't soon after he went to his foster home that they were too smitten and had fallen too much in love to ever say goodbye. He is the comedian of the house, never a dull moment and always sure to make you laugh!	Ziva Ziva had been at East Valley Shelter for over a month when we rescued her. She had the saddest eyes and it warmed our hearts we were able to bring her out of the scary shelter and in to a cozy home. We later learned Ziva was both blind and diabetic... two conditions that make it harder to find a forever home. Ziva's foster family fell in love with her sweet disposition and she spent the rest over her days wrapped in their love.
King Arthur Our King finally found his forever family! He was our longest running buddy & even though we cherished every moment with him, we hoped he too would get to experience having his very own forever parents. Well, it was so worth the wait because he is absolutely adored in his new home. They love everything about him.. even when he has potty accidents, but especially his bunny hops afterwards.. because of course he has to celebrate going potty! Thank you for seeing what a gift he is!!	Bowie Bowie was among five others we rescued from Baldwin Park Shelter who were out of time. We never truly know a dog's backstory when we rescue them, but with Bowie there was no doubt something bad had happened to him. He was terrified of wearing a collar & harness, or having a leash touch him. It took many months of working with him to overcome these fears. He is one happy pup now though & found forever with Princess Coconut's family! She & Bowie are BFF & are showered in love & rainbows.	Eli When we rescued Eli from Downey Shelter he looked like a completely different dog. He was completely grey from being so dirty, he was missing chunks of hair & his skin was badly inflamed. He wouldn't even lift his head.. he had completely given up. It's so easy for pups like Eli to get overlooked at the shelter due to their condition, but these are the buddies we love to help. Just look at his beaming smile now! He is so happy & found forever with the same family who adopted our Mobley!!
Apple We rescued Apple from North Central Shelter, where she came in as a stray. It's so hard to figure out where these pups come from.. I mean, there's no way she could survive as a stray.. she had to be someone's dog at some point. It breaks our hearts thinking of these beautiful souls being abandoned & rejected. They give pure love which is such a gift! Apple finally has the reciprocated love we always hope for.. a mum who sees her beauty & uniqueness, who loves her right back unconditionally.	Chester Chester was rescued from Baldwin Park Shelter, where he found himself not once, but twice! :( Well, once we rescue a buddy, we are their forever advocate & they will NEVER be in a shelter ever again. Our foster-to-adopt process helps make sure we have matched a buddy in the right home before finalizing. And that's exactly what happened with Chester.. his foster mum fell hard for him & so did his bro! Their days are now spent running around doing summer salts! How cute is that!?!	Finnegan Finn was found at four-weeks-old wrapped in a dirty towel in a gutter. We aren't sure how long he had been there or why someone would discard of him like that, but we made a decision to do whatever was in our power to nurse him back to health. It was many months of working with the vet and during that time Finn's foster mum couldn't help but fall hard for him. So when the time came to begin networking for a home, his foster mum sealed the deal on forever with sweet Finn.
Baxter We rescued Baxter from North Central Shelter where he was surrendered by his previous parent. We are not sure how anyone could bare parting with Baxter as he's the sweetest guy on the block! However, he did have some fear-based reactive tendencies (a lot of our buddies do!) so we needed to make sure he went into a very specific home so both he & his new pet parent could thrive. Baxter now has that special person who accepts him for all that he is & will never give up on him!	Katie Bear As a senior buddy, Katie found herself without a home due to her previous mum passing on. She is such a sweet dainty girl & we made a promise to her (as we do all our buddies) that we would find her the most spectacular loving forever home. It can take many months to find that special home for our senior buddies, but it is alway worth the wait. Katie's parents are just that.. her parents! They love her as their child & dote on her every second (not kidding!). She gets so much LOVE!!!	Earl Grey Earl Grey was found without a home due to the loss of a pet parent. Even coming from a home though, it was clear he wasn't properly socialized. We worked on training him with some of the basics, but mostly, we taught him manners for being a good boy.. like not jumping on tables lol! He is such a sweet buddy who is in constant plea for your attention. His foster mum knew she wanted to adopt in the future so when EG put the moves on her heart, there was nothing but cupid arrows.. she was a goner!
Kira Rose Kira was rescued from Baldwin Park shelter along with four others who were out of time. She liked to give BOSS attitude to the shelter staff, which did not do her any favors. As with many dogs, she displayed behavioral issues due to fear & not being socialized. It's so sad many buddies never make it out of the shelter because they were not given tools to succeed. We are so happy we were able to rescue Kira! She is such a sweet, bubbly girl & now she has a forever mum to spend all her days with!	Lyla When Lyla was rescued from Baldwin Park Shelter she had to go into emergency surgery for pyometra, an infected uterus, which was to the point of being life-threatening. While in surgery, her vet also removed two large bladder stones. Poor Lyla had been living in pain for so long, but once her body started to heal, little by little, she began to trust again. With some dogs, they adopt you, & that's what happened with Lyla.. she only had eyes for her foster mum & now she has her one-true-love.	Rosie Rosie was rescued from Palmdale Animal Shelter where she was surrendered. She was incredibly shy & terrified of the world when we met her. It seemed she had never been socialized & likely spent most of her days outside. We gave her so much TLC & just as she was starting to come out of her shell, almost like magic, her forever PAWrents appeared. Rosie is the beaming star in their universe & she shines so bright for them!
Princess Coconut Princess Coconut is our handiCAPABLE buddy rescued from WLA Shelter as part of an evidence case. She was born with a genetic condition called severe angular bone deformity making her unable to walk. She was also extremely neglected & scared of life when we got her so we spent months helping her gain confidence and getting used to human touch. The time we put in helped her successfully transition into the most AMAZING forever home where she is absolutely adored and cherished!	Ginger Ginger entered SLA Shelter a total mess with dreadlocked hair that made it easy for potential adopters to overlook her. Ginger's hair had to be shaved, making her look awkward & again easy for people to skip when viewing "cute" dog pics online. While it sounds sad, there's magic in the wait because it takes time to find that perfect home for a buddy & parent to thrive. We found a soul mate kind of love for her & when she entered her new home, there were no doubts that it was forever.	Wesley Wesley was rescued from Harbor Shelter in ruff condition. He was sick, & had a limp, & anal tumors that could not be comfortable. It was lucky we had made arrangements to take him straight to the vet after being rescued as his tumors ruptured upon arrival. It was not an ideal situation with him being sick, but he had to go into surgery the next day. We nursed him to health & found the most adoring mum who feeds him wayyyy too many cookies lol! Who can say no to that face though!?!
Barnaby Barnaby was rescued from Baldwin Park Shelter where he waited & waited for someone to choose him. He came on our radar right away, but we like to rescue pups that aren't highly adoptable from the shelters & we thought surely he'd be scooped right up! But then the weeks turned to a month & he was on expired time. We were so happy to have him as a buddy & help grow his confidence & trust of people. He is living the high life now with his forever mommy, who couldn't be more in love!	Rocky Rocky was rescued in the group of five from Baldwin Park Shelter who were all slated for euthanasia. He had no interest at the shelter we think because he had some health issues & walked funny as if he hadn't recovered from a past injury. He was also a little crazy when he came to us, but getting neutered helped with that! It took time to find him the PAWfect home due to some of his quirks, but he ended up finding forever with his foster mum & dad who found his quirkiness endearing!	Luna Luna was rescued along with four other of our buddies slated to be euthanized at Baldwin Park Shelter. It was her second time at the shelter within a year & the staff said she greatly changed from being super friendly to now unwilling to let anyone touch her. It seemed she had been through a lot in that year. She needed a lot of TLC before she could be successful in a forever home.. but she found that home with her mum who fell in love with her bio & knew her home was where she was meant to be.
Remington Remy was rescued from Downey Shelter along with four other buddies.. he actually shared a kennel with our sweet angel Howie. Poor Remy was extremely ill & malnourished when we rescued him. We helped him recover from pneumonia & gain weight before being healthy enough to be neutered (which has to happen before adopting). Not all of our dogs are appropriate for a home with kids, but we knew Remy would be perfect. He won the hearts of a lucky family & became their first furry companion.	Howie Howie is such a happy boy always smiling & bouncing around.. literally, he can jump so high! He was rescued from Downey Shelter & was underweight with an odd growth on his gums. We got him the vet care he needed to get him in tip top shape before going to his forever mommies. From day one, he was their little boy & they have given him so much love & care to make up for any he may not have received in the past. We love you so so much Howie & we always will!	Rubi Rubi came to us as a happy pup, but had some reactive tendencies with other dogs making it imperative we match her with the right home so everyone would be set up for success. She is an absolute doll with people & kids, but will try to run the show if she doesn't think you're the capital A for alpha. Well, you can tell from her beach pic.. she is all smiles & enjoying the high life with lots of exploring & belly rubs with her new forever fam!
Fletcher Fletcher made the great escape from Downey Shelter along with Howie, Remy, & King Arthur. He is such an adorably oddly shaped buddy with a laid back chummy personality. Because of his demeanor, we knew he could be a great fit for first time pet parents. The PAWfect couple found him when they stumbled across our booth at NKLA Super Adoption. They love Fletch to pieces & think he's one in a million. We agree!!!	Ryder Ryder was rescued from E.Valley Shelter where he was red listed for euthanasia due to not being able to be touched. He had been surrendered in terrible condition & was so scared of human contact he would freeze when touched. We worked with Ryder for many months to help him learn to trust again. You can tell from the pic.. Ryder is oh-so-happy in his new home! He is incredibly affectionate, but just needed someone to show him compassion & take the time to help him gain confidence to flourish.	Paddington Paddington was rescued from E.Valley Shelter where he came in as a stray. Not sure who could ever part with this love bug because he is one of the sweetest, most easy going buddies we have ever worked with! He had a cold & ear infection when we rescued him, so we got him into tip-top shape before finding his PAWsome mom (ahem, who fell in love at first sight!). I told her he was super special & she knew it to be true. Now their story is written in the stars.
Mobley Mobley was rescued from South LA Shelter where he had been for over a month and was therefore now on borrowed time. His soon-to-be foster mum had seen him & knew she couldn't leave him... & that's when she contacted us! Mobley had a long road to recovery with chronic bronchitis & a tumor which developed from not being neutered. With time and TLC, Mobley learned the ropes of being in a home. Tugging on the strings of his foster mums heart, she knew there was no way she could let him go.	Cali It was love at first sight for Cali and her new pet parent. They locked eyes, Cali turned on the charm with her kisses, and that was that. When we brought Cali to her new home for the foster-to-adopt process, it was as if she was returning home rather than coming to a new home. It's the best feeling in the world to see one of our buddies completely at ease... knowing we had a PAWt in connecting two soulmates is the best feeling ever.	Henry It's a really joyous feeling when we are able to match a buddy with their perfect person, their soul mate. That is just the case with Henry. He is a sweet boy, but needed a specific somebody who could redirect him and help build his confidence. And that's exactly what his new mommy does! It's so great seeing Henry happy, relaxed, and thriving!!
Mia Mia was originally found on the freeway and brought to the shelter, where we rescued her. She is such a sweet, happy girl and has so much love to give. Mia is still a puppy at about 1-year-old and found the most amazing forever home with a family and dog buddy who can keep up with her! We can't wait to hear about all of her new adventures!	Kiwi At 5.5 pounds, Kiwi is a tiny boy, but has a very big heart & anyone who meets him knows how much love he emotes. When we rescued Kiwi from Downey shelter, he had a cold & rotten teeth. We gave him the medical care & tlc he needed to be ready to go into a new home. After meeting his potential new mommy, we knew it was the perfect match because she cherishes animals as family. We're so happy Kiwi is doted on every minute of every day!	Charlie Hartman Charlie was no stranger to the shelter... which means he's also no stranger to people giving up on him. That all changed though when we rescued him & brought him into our Beople's Buddies community. For his foster mum, it was love at first sight & she knew early on that she wasn't going to be able to part with him. We feel very fortunate to be a lifeline to buddies in need like Charlie. He's in weekly training with his mum & working to gain his confidence so he can be a carefree happy buddy!
Maximillion Max had been at West Valley Shelter for six months when we rescued him. We gave him a movie star name because he is definitely a charmer and it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Rightfully so, he still has some trust issues, but his forever family is patiently reminding him everyday that he no longer needs to worry about tomorrow. We love you Max!	Luna We helped Luna find her forever home through our Buddy Pawcierge program. This Russia Blue kitty is enjoying cuddles and getting lots of love with her new family!	Barkley We helped Barkley find his forever home through our Buddy Pawcierge program. At 11-years-young Barkley found himself without a home when his parent passed away. We were able to connect him to one of our applicants who had applied for a different buddy, but wasn't quite compatible... however, Barkley was a PAWfect match!!
ChiYen We rescued ChiYen from Downey Shelter. It was evident she had puppies not long ago and we think she was used for breeding, spending most of her days in a kennel with limited social interaction. It took awhile for ChiYen to begin to trust... and she was definitely very specific about who she liked so we told her she could pick her family. We're so happy ChiYen finally chose her forever family and we have no doubt with time, we'll get to see even more of her sparkly personality!	Pepito We rescued Pepito, our 5-pound teacup poodle, from the shelter where he was incredibly scared and had a respiratory infection. Once he started to feel better, we really got to see his humorous spitfire personality. He was the PAWfect match for his forever family who fell in love with all his eccentricity!	Pixie Pixie was abandoned as a young puppy, but it's evident from her happy-go-lucky spirit, she's never let that get her down! She's living the good life now with her forever family & their children who get to experience the joy that comes from her loyal companionship.
Dudley Dudley had an old luxating elbow injury when we rescued him from the shelter... poor baby went at least a month with this injury. We got him fixed up good as new and he'll soon be able to frolic around like a young spry pup should! His foster daddy gave him endless tlc while Dudley was recovering and after falling hopelessly in love became his forever daddy!	Vermeer Vermeer was in pretty rough shape when we rescued him from the shelter... he had multiple parasites and needed many teeth removed. We're pretty sure he spent most of his time in a kennel before he came to us. He is the sweetest, most loving boy who gives hugs & has a cute lyrical howl when he hears a siren go by. We're thrilled he gets to know what it's like to be loved & cherished for all the rest of his days by his forever mommy & extended family... our buddy Honey is now his auntie!	FunBuns We rescued FunBuns (aka Minka) from Downey Animal Shelter where she came in as a stray. When I went to say hi to her through the cage, she gave me kisses on my finger and I knew right away how special she was. She's the sweetest girl & I'm so happy her days are filled with lots of hops, love, & cuddles.
Charlie Charlie (aka Harrington/Butch Cassidy) is another one of our Downey shelter survivors. He was so scared at the shelter he wouldn't let anyone touch him, but he became a completely different dog after we rescued him & he learned to trust. His forever parents fell in love with him just like we did & now he's happy as can be... & one cool dude in his shades!!	Chance It took awhile for Chance (aka Quincey) to find his forever family, but it was well worth the wait because he now has a mum, pop, and two sisters that adore him. Chance is a great new name for him because he's getting the chance at love he's always deserved. We LOVE you so much buddy! xxoo	Grumpers Grumpers was surrendered to us after losing his home, but he'll never be in that situation again! He now has a forever mum who dotes on him and indulges all of his funny quirks like drinking out of the faucet!
Oscar We rescued Oscar (aka Pawnda) from Downey Shelter & chose him because of how dejected he looked... he was by himself in a corner with terribly matted hair & his head down as if he had given up. Of course, we couldn't have that! Little by little we got to see what an amazing happy-go-lucky pup Oscar truly is. He is in the most loving forever home now & will never be sad again!	Rusty It took awhile for us to find Rusty the PAWfect family... being senior & seeing impaired didn't help, but oftentimes it's worth the wait. Rusty is happier than we could have ever wished with his loving forever mum & dad & Boston Terrier sis!	Olive Olive (aka Annie) had been at the shelter four times when we rescued her. She was injured with a torn ACL & despondent after her BFF she came to the shelter with was adopted before her. It's pretty sad to think about, but she wags her tail every day now that she's found her forever daddy! He's her PAWmate & she'll never ever ever be abandoned again!
Flora Flora (aka Florence) finally got her fairytail after a long road to recovery from severe neglect. Flora was 17 pounds overweight for an untreated thyroid problem and was so heavy she couldn't walk when we rescued her from the shelter. You would never know today though!! After being treated for hypothyroidism she's lost all the extra weight and her hair has grown in. She now has a forever family and many happy tomorrows in store! xx	Winston Winston was on the euthanasia list when we rescued him from the shelter. It was his 4th time being abandoned there & needless to say he was very scared. His skin was also in terrible shape with inflammation & large amounts of missing hair. We took Winnie to the dermatologist immediately & it took awhile, but his skin & coat are super full and shiny today! He also has a forever family now... one that will never give up on him. He is the center of his mom's world & cherished by her!	Peanut Through our Buddy PAWcierge program we were able to play a part in Peanut finding happily ever after with his new pet parent! After his original mom passed away, there were no family or friends able to care for him. A few days before he was to be taken to the shelter, a friend of Peanut's family contacted us and we were able to swiftly connect him with a family we had been working with who wanted to adopt a poodle!
Benjamin Buttons Benjamin Buttons is one of our Buddy PAWcierge clients! We were so delighted to connect him to his forever family who gives him endless HUGS & KISSES.. how could you not kiss that face!?!	Bugsy Bugsy had a long road to recovery after we rescued him from the shelter where he had been brought in after being hit by a car & needed lifesaving surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia. It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT for his mommy who couldn't be happier to open her home & heart to this sweet senior buddy!	Whiskey Whiskey couldn't be more adored... as if you can't tell! He has fit in PAWfectly to make this happy duo an even happier trio! When Whiskey isn't being doted on, you can most often find him in the bathtub as that's his fave hangout lol! xo
Ruxin It took awhile, but Ruxin finally found his forever family & now has two furbaby brothers to pal around with! Rux was the perfect addition to complete this kitty-lovin' home & he gets oooohed & ahhhhed over every day!!	Robaire Robaire was continually passed over at the shelter & soon put on death row because he was too afraid to let anyone touch him. Luckily, that's never discouraged us & he was giving kisses as soon as we left the parking lot. He's now made one family over-the-moon HAPPY & they can't imagine life without him! xx	Backpack After being hit by a car, abandoned, & then enduring surgery, Backpack will NEVER EVER have to suffer again.. he is absolutely adored by his daddies & provided with endless amounts of LOVE!!!
Grayson Grayson's sun sign is definitely Taurus -- he can be a bit obstinate at times, but he's quite genius too... he was holding out for his PAWmate & wouldn't settle for anything less! He got forever with Micki & she loves all of the intricacies that make up Grayson's colorful personality!	Alvin, Simon, & Theodore Alvin, Simon, & Theo were dropped off outside the shelter & due to overcrowding would have been immediately euthanized if we hadn't rescued them. All kitties are safe & sound in forever homes now... Alvin & Theo were adopted together!!	Whopper Whopper found love again after being re-homed at 8-yrs-young due to his original pet parent becoming ill. He is happy as can be in his new home... & has definitely taken the title of Prince :)
Bella We connected Bella to her forever parents through our Buddy PAWcierge program -- we LOVE making dreams come true & getting to play a part a family's happiness!	Luna Belle & Hercules Luna Belle & Hercules did not go to the same home, but kinda pretty much! Their pet parents are significant others & they get to spend lots of time together.. Luna even got a new BFF with her furbrother Murphy. When Hercules isn't with the pup pack, he's kicking back with his daddy & kitty-bro, Alvin (from our kitty trio!). Life couldn't be more purrrrrfect!!	Stewie We were able to find Stewie the most PAWfect forever home after he needed to be rehomed due to a kiddo's allergies. Stewie was able to transition into his forever home wonderfully & gets doted on daily... ahem, one of our requirements!!
Lulu Lulu (aka Yuna) went from being a backyard puppy who was later abandoned to being ADORED and CHERISHED by her forever daddy! She's a total smarty pants & has already leaned most of her basic commands!	Dolce Our tiny princess finally found a dedicated mommy who accepts all of her many quirks... her sweetness & her spiciness. Dolce receives LOVE, patience, kindness, & of course lots of fun & cuddles in her forever home.. what more could you wish for!?! xoxo	Ashby & Wellington We first met Ashby & Wellington's future parents at NKLA Adoption Weekend... they didn't find their PAWmate then, but knew they wanted to work with us because of our mutual love for the environment & how we dedicate a tree in honor of our adopted buddies. Well, they ended up finding not one, but two furbabies... they couldn't be more different from another, but are most definitely the yin to the other's yang :)
Tiny Tim "Timmy" We rescued Timmy December of 2014 at five weeks old with two broken legs... he was our little miracle, a tiny boy with a fighting spirit. He never gave up and won all of our hearts.. including his foster mum, who is now his forever mum :D	Sandy Sandy (aka Lulu) is yet another reminder of why it's so important to adopt and look beyond the surface... she was discarded at the shelter, labeled as unfriendly, and just about out of time when we rescued her. With a little TLC, Sandy has come leaps and bounds! She's such a doll and is the apple of her daddy's eye.. as you can tell from the pic!	Penelope When we rescued Penelope from the shelter she was pacing, scared to death, and didn't have much longer. Today, her story is just the opposite... she is ADORED by her mother and brother, Riri, and treated like the Belle of the Ball... but most importantly, she's treated like FAMILY. xxoo
Mochi A pic is worth a thousand words and this one says it all... Mochi has a family now, one that's forever!!	Ozy Ozy, our Scooby-Doo fanatic, used his expert detective skills to sniff out the PAWfect mum & dad & two kitty siblings. There's no sibling rivalry though... just pure love!	Toby Toby is yet another example of the AMAZING buddies you find at the shelter!! It's hard to understand why anyone would want to give up such a blessing as Toby, but we say our thanks everyday that we were lucky enough to find him!! He's brother to Beople, Mushu & Clover & the best family addition we could ever hope for! xxoo
Barkley Yayyy for Barkley, our senior buddy who now has two AMAZING daddies that love him oh-so-much! Barkley is treated as their child & doted on every moment... literally every moment, just as he deserves!!!	Ellie Ellie (aka Harlow) is finding the happiness she's always deserved in her forever home with a doting mommy and daddy... and her pack mates... 3 brothers!	Albei Albei was once our adorable shyguy, but has been gaining confidence every day in his forever home! He spent two-months in the shelter before we were blessed to have him in our care and now he gets to spend his days at work with dad, enjoying coffee dates, and hiking Runyan Canyon! His family was able to look past Albei's initial timidness and truly see his potential, and now he finally has forever! xx
Buddy Lee Buddy Lee (aka Petey) came to us as a very neglected 7-yr-old Yorkie. He was completely infested with ticks and fleas and had been kept as an outdoor dog. It didn't take long at all to realize what a sweet pup Buddy Lee is, and with his new mommy, it was love at first sight!	Poppy Poppy had a long road to recovery after being hit by a car resulting in serious injury to her leg. Her forever mom helped nurse her back to health & gives Poppy endless snuggles & LOVE!! Yayyyy for Poppy!!	Olive Olive was rescued just two days before she was scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter, where she had come in with a fractured pelvis. Her demeanor completely changed the moment we left the shelter and we couldn't help but fall in love with her sprightly personality... her new family did too & Olive is smitten getting ooohed and ahhhhed over as the only pup.
Tessa Tessa is soooooooo happy in her new family with her new parents and new brother, Buddy! She's bouncy and playful and finally gets to be a puppy! Her life is drastically different from when she was scared and cowering at the shelter. We are so happy to have been able to unite Tessa with her PAWmates who are over-the-moon in love with her!	Tango Tango is such a love, constantly dolling out kisses... We couldn't be happier that he's found a family who loves him as much as we do!!	Track Track is our oh-so-cute polydactly kitty that was found in the restroom of a racetrack. He is unbelievably happy in his new home with his mommy and made an unlikely BFF with his k9 sissy, Kishi... they spend hours playing and Track even grooms her, pretty much cutest thing ever!
King Louie Louie was the most level headed of the bunch, perfectly content just "chilling." He now gets to soak up the rays in Manhattan Beach while being doted upon by his mommy and daddy. Life couldn't be better!	Tony Tony was the largest of 6 pups in Dolly's litter born on 24 October 2013. He is continuing to grow and gives lots of puppy love to his new family!	Dolly Dolly got the home she had always dreamed about... filled with lots of kids, toys, laughter, and most of all LOVE!
Charlie Charlie (aka Genny) was hit by a car as a kitten and suffered a broken jaw, pelvis, and tail. She has a lot of fight and we were honored to help find her the wonderful forever home she deserves - with a loving mother and two very playful brother kitties! She couldn’t have found a better family!	Blondie Blondie (Dolly's sis!) has settled right in with her new family, who absolutely cherishes her... making all of our dreams come true!	Beau Guess what!?! Beau lives across the street from his brother Clipper and gets to play with him all the time... how great is that!? He is a very smart boy and is loving life with his new comPAWnians.
Lois Lane The only girl of the litter, Ms. Lois Lane is fiesty, adorable, and completely curious... hence her name! She loves her new mommy and is excelling in her puppy training classes... she is also becoming quite the Instagram star with all of her natural cuteness!	Clipper Clipper looks most like his mommy Dolly. He knew just how adorable he was... so much so that he's had us all wrapped around his little paw from the very beginning! He is super duper happy in his new home where he gets to play all day with his new PAWmates, which includes a big family and a big brother.	Pancakes Pancakes was always wanting of all the attention and a bit of a handful, but that's what his mommy loves best about him... she calls him her little ham :)
Daisy This sweet girl was successfully rehomed and has a new dad and brother she's over the moon about!	Honey All Honey ever wanted was to find a family that would love her forever... and her dreams came true when she met Faith & Daniel.. THANK YOU for opening your hearts to her!!	Montana Montana was one of our most snuggly Buddy Pawcierge clients and now has the most purrrrfect forever home filled with endless love!
Peanut Peanut was one of our Buddy Pawcierge clients who is now in the most wonderful home with his forever family and best buddy/brother, Mio.	Elle YAYY for Elle!! She found her PAWmate after being successfully rehomed!	Tiki Tiki is inseperable with his new dad who showers him with love and attention and has even put him on a new organic diet!
Penny Beople's first buddy! Penny was rescued from E.Valley Shelter and when I met her in the medical ward, she literally grabbed my hands with her paws and from that point forward I knew she was meant to be mine. She taught me so much about rescuing senior buddies with medical conditions. She was the silliest pup I had ever met and always made me laugh. Penny was pure joy and the beginning of my rescue journey.
