Dear potential forever family,

 Hi, my name is Sawyer! If you’re looking for a best friend with a little sass who is small enough to go everywhere, then I’m the gal pal for you! I’m a six-year-old, seven-pound Yorkshire Terrier who is smart, lively, and treat motivated… if you feed me, I’ll have heart emoji eyes for you!  I even know some tricks that you can see over-and-over if you promise me a tasty snack. Right now, I know “sit,” “give five,” “lay down,” and I’m working on “roll over.”  I absolutely PAWSitively LOVE going on walks - actually, they’re more like runs because I’ll try to run in front of you the entire time, but I do well with guidance and after a few reminders, I’ll walk politely beside you. I’m still getting used to car rides, but, where you go - I go - and I’m sure with more practice I’ll be in my car seat with my tongue out! My ideal forever person will be someone who wants to bring me everywhere, is motivated to teach and guide me, loves going on walks/runs/hikes, and wants me by their side more often than not when we are home. A calm home life is preferred and while I do get along with other dogs, I would be perfectly fine as an only dog too (why yes, I do love hogging all the attention… who doesn’t!?!). I should mention that from time-to-time I like to boss my dog friends, but I am fully capable of listening and have now heard many times that I’m not the boss. Well, I guess that depends on who you ask (ha!)!! Hopefully you’re able to pick up on my exuberant and shining personality and if you desire more sparkle in your life, then let’s meet!
