Hi, I’m Peru… a sweet, yet shy four-year-old Maltipoo waiting to find my special someone.  For being so young, I’ve experienced a lot of hardships in my life and have found myself at the scary shelter three times.  That can do a lot to a buddies’ confidence, but I am a trooper and am learning to trust every day.  Beople’s People have assured me I will never go to a shelter again and I’ll now get to know what a real family is… a home where I’ll be cherished forever.  And that’s exactly what I am looking for… a person who is patient and kind and will never give up on me no matter what.  I’ve learned a lot in my foster home and look forward to mastering more!  Right now I know “sit” and I’m working on “stay.”  I am crate- and potty-trained and walk great on a leash.  I love playing fetch with my toy and cuddling when I’m tired.  I especially enjoy outings where I get to go in the car and show how gentlemanly I can be when I meet new people and dog buddies.  I can be hesitant with men I do not know so I require someone who is gentle, but provides firm and consistent guidance to help me flourish.  I look forward to lots of smiles, kisses, and fun together as best buddies.
